Well, I just checked. I think my PEERS NAMES is ever so slightly backleveled. I think what happened was: 1) Eric sent out a first PEERS NAMES. This made it to some places, but not here. We've been having problems with the CUNYVM-YALEVM and YALEVM-UCONNVM links for about a week or 10 days now. 2) Eric sends out a second PEERS NAMES. This makes it here. Unfortunatly, since CUNYVM was in the first file, and BITNIC knows about it, CUNYVM gets elected to send the second one here. Too bad we don't know about it.. The end result seems to be that we won't be able to receive any PEERS NAMES distributed via DISTRIBUTE as long as LISTSERV@CUNYVM is in there. (a) Can some authorized person please ship me a *KNOWN GOOD* working copy of PEERS NAMES so I can get rolling again? (b) Can something be done so the local postmaster is informed when stuff like this happens? The first clue I had that there was a new PEERS NAMES out was a note from Eric that was *after* I had waded through 70 other pieces of mail. It's great when a major link is down for several days and the mail arrives in nothing resembling chronological order. :-) :-( (Thought for the *really* crazy RSCS hackers out there - adaptive routing similar to the Internet for RSCS. :-) Valdis Kletnieks
