This night my LISTSERV received a DISTRIBUTE job directly from LISTSERV@TAUNIVM (why not, if the original job contained only french recipients?). The problem is it then decided to serve 2 recipients and forward the rest to CEARN and thence DEARN. I sent a few RELEASE commands here and there and discovered that there seems to be at least 4 different versions of LINKSWT FILE on the backbone 1.5i servers, and that at least one 1.5i server has a 1.5h weight file. Another problem is that a lot of postmasters receive the update shipments on a T-disk and then COPYFILE them to the main disk without the OLDD option ("oops.. too late"). This makes it difficult to know the version of the file from the time stamp... :-) I will therefore send a new LINKSWT FILE to all the backbone servers, and ONLY to the backbone servers (new 1.5j feature: 'Peers= Backbone') to see if it helps solving the problem.
