As I said,  the FROM field will  point to the LMON maintainer  because he is
really the person to be addressed  for the unavoidable questions of "When will
my file be  released? Could you exceptionally release it  now? Why not?". Such
inquiries will have little effect if sent to the LISTSERV reader :-)
 
  The problem with conventions is that  when they don't exist, they take years
to implement.  Just look  at the  time it  takes BITNET  to update  its mailer
tables (Gaussian law on  the percentage of sites having updated  :-) ). So you
can't rely on  such a convention unless  it already exists when  you write the
software... :-(
