> > One thing to check for: When I started notifying the Internet "owners" >of lists I redistribute, I found that some users were also subscribed >as [log in to unmask] > this happens for lists which are not redistribution lists as well. I have tried to track this down for several subscriptions on SAS-L and in all cases it resulted from following the instructions contained in an Internet "list of lists" (e.g. ARPA SIGS). The instructions typically tell the user to send mail to LISTSERV%<node>[log in to unmask] I have never found a case where a user really wanted the note to go to the Internet and back. I wonder whether LISTSERV should automagically fix these subscription requests? +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ [log in to unmask] ....................
