I finally fixed the case sensitivity problem - you should all be receiving new copies - sorry about the delay. As for people wanting to exempt people from lists - I believe that the lists in question could be made not "OPEN" - and that would force somone to issue the ADD list command. I have not checked this - but I believe that this does not register the recipient. Even if it does - then file should be modified. I am in agreement with not allowing review=public, but I think review=list is more appropriate if you are worried about allowing access to someone's userid - it should be visible to others on the list. (please understand I am writing this and I am tired...so I do not expect to be typing out coherent English). Anyhow, if manual measures cannot be handled to prevent people from ending up in the SIGNUP FILE - then there are really only two alternatives: (1) Don't use /WHOIS or anything else that looks at the SIGNUP FILE or (2) With Eric's blessing - someone make the necessary mods to allow for either CONFIDENTIAL lists to not register names or have some kind of bit setting in the SIGNUP FILE. (I am against the bit setting). Let me be clear in that I would expect (and do not blame) Eric for not wanting to deal with modifications in this manner - it could be a nightmare!
