Eric, my mailing list is being KILLED by damn reject messages that could EASILY be prevented by ONE SIMPLE CHECK. Over the past month, OVER 40 reject mail messages have been sent out to EVERYONE on my list (60 people) - always from ONE USERID --- UUCP. [log in to unmask] uucp@princeton [log in to unmask] UUCP is not, never, ever a userid. PLEASE - if you can check for MAILER@... or MAILER-DAEMON@... can you PLEASE PLEASE add UUCP@... as a test for invalid mail. ALL of the trouble has come from UUCP@something nodes. These are STRICTLY DELIVERY ERROR MESSAGES!! If I SERVE them OFF, I'll never know about the delivery problems. Will you please listen to reason, Eric - if you ever dealt with UUCP you'd have the same problem. Userid "UUCP" is a delivery system like MAILER or MAILER-DAEMON. I'm not going to repost all the messages I've gotten, but suffice it to say that UUCP is one of them major "contributors" to an already active list. Unless I am to throw off all non-BITNET traffic, I need a patch that sends all mail from UUCP@... that goes to the list to the list owner. Can ANYONE help?? To get an idea of my situation, pretend all your error messages were going out to your list. - ERIC - * Another proud CoCo 3 user * ______________ | | BITNET:ewtileni@pucc | ARPA:[log in to unmask] | ColorVenture | CompuServe: 70346,16 | MCI Mail and/or Delphi: TILENIUS |______________| PHONE :609-734-0092 | UUCP:{rutgers,cbosgd,cmcl2}!psuvax1!pucc.BITNET!ewtileni
