This is exactly what happens every day at EB0UB011. Needless to say, it is
causing major problems. It sounds like either an HPO 5.0 problem (remember,
IBM has decided that spool files would no longer work on HPO 5, and they
intend to prove it) or a CMS5 problem. My impression is that LISTSERV is
getting a "punch file" return code from the RDR MODULE, because the said
RDR MODULE calls a standard RDCARD macro and gets garbage (or possibly an
error return code which it does not test). LISTSERV can read the file
because it uses diag X'14', which READCARD doesn't use of course because it
is too fast and would save CPU time which can be usefully wasted simulating
SIO instructions to the virtual reader. In any case, it has probably nothing
to do with LISTSERV.
