Hi, I'm having a problem. One of our systems is generating Mail with multiple "From:" lines in the RFC822 header. LISTSERV doesn't like this and gives the following: > Error occured while processing file 6722 from MAILER@UHCCVM: "Command mailfile > contains invalid RFC822 fields and could not be parsed". > > RFC822 parser messages follow: > > <W> Field "Resent-From:/From:" duplicated. Last occurence was retained. > > <W> Field "Sender:/From:" duplicated. Last occurence was retained. > > <W> Field "FROM:" duplicated. Last occurence was retained. > > ------------------- Message causing the problem (11 lines) ------------------- > Received: from UHCCUX.BITNET by UHCCVM.BITNET (Mailer R2.03B) with BSMTP id > 6718; Mon, 27 Nov 89 19:18:27 HST > From: [log in to unmask] > Message-Id: <[log in to unmask]> > Received: by wiliki.eng.hawaii.edu; Mon, 27 Nov 89 19:18:30 HST > Date: Mon, 27 Nov 89 19:18:30 HST > From: Rico Cheng <[log in to unmask]> > Apparently-To: [log in to unmask] > > help Is there an *easy* way I can change this at the LISTSERV end? The system manager for the host that is generating the extra "From:" line has been trying to fix his end for the past few years without success. Apparently, there is some strange interaction between UREP and SendMail (the host in question is a VAX running Ultrix). I'm just getting tired of waiting for his end to be fixed, so was wondering if there was anything I can do at our end. Thanks in advance for any help. -- Stephen Y.
