I was surprised to log on today and find over 1900 files in the postmaster's reader. It turned out that over 1700 of these were due to repeated "attacks" such as the following. The number of "print" statements varied from just a few to over 1000. (Generally it looked like the process spawing these added another print statement each time). The date/time stamp on the origin was from about 23:00 GMT to at least 23:50 GMT. Luckily LISTSERV served the user off after 10 tries (which was why the mail was diverted to the postmaster). I would be interested in hearing if any other sites had the pleasure of this persons attention. I will contact the folks at IPDUNIVX.
