The following has prompted some discussion over on INFO-NETS. The main topic has been the To: header. It is my understanding that this form is only used "internally" between LISTSERVs (or between LISTSERV's and VM Mailers?). Everything I ever get in from a LISTSERV lists has To: my local address. My guess is that there's some non-LISTSERV re-distribution going on (but that should put back "good" To: shouldn't it, unless someone's impersonating hos LISTSERV does it). Or, perhaps a LISTEARN in involved and causing problems :-) Any insight to what's going on would be much appriciated. BTW - I'm curious who added the Return-path, I know PMDF will leave it at the top. > Return-path: <[log in to unmask]> > Received: from ccvax.ucd.ie by ul.ie with PMDF#10158; Tue, 29 Jan 1991 11:12 >GMT > Received: from IRLEARN.UCD.IE by ccvax.ucd.ie; Tue, 29 Jan 91 00:43 WET > Received: from UKACRL.BITNET by IRLEARN.UCD.IE (Mailer R2.03B) with BSMTP id > 6043; Tue, 29 Jan 91 00:40:36 GMT > Received: from UKACRL by UKACRL.BITNET (Mailer R2.07) with BSMTP id 9943; Tue, > 29 Jan 91 00:41:48 GMT > Date: Fri, 25 Jan 91 17:48:02 GMT > From: [log in to unmask] > Subject: RE: Standard Modula2 > Sender: Modula2 List <[log in to unmask]> > To: Multiple recipients of <[log in to unmask]> > Reply-to: Modula2 List <[log in to unmask]> > Message-id: <[log in to unmask]> > X-Envelope-to: reslerd > Comments: To: [log in to unmask] ---------- Mark J Strawcutter BitNet: MJSTRAW@IUP Director, Systems and Data Communications DNS (mx): [log in to unmask] Indiana University of Pennsylvania Phone: (412) 357-4000 Indiana, PA 15705 "you can't nail jello to a tree"
