At most sites "@" is the default terminal character-delete character in the sense that when a user types "@" the result is the character immediately preceding the "@" is deleted. A user can verify this by typing CP QUERY TERMINAL which will reveal a response (among other things) of CHARDEL @ or CHARDEL OFF or CHARDEL <some_other_character>. To cause the "@" character to become an ordinary character when typed, just give the command CP TERMINAL CHARDEL OFF . Better yet, put it into your PROFILE EXEC. It's hard to understand why CHARDEL @ continues to be the default with everybody these days using modern terminals. /b
