Here's a case where E-mail to the ID 'LDBASE-L-REQUEST@UKANVM' "bounces", due to the configuration at the host 'UKANVM'. Note that the E-mail came from an Internet-site, through to 'SMTP@UKANVM', which rejected this ID, instead of passing this ID to 'MAILER@UKANVM', which would have **accepted** this ID. Sigh! Note: if the user had sent the E-mail over BITNET, then 'MAILER@UKANVM' would have received the mail, and processed it correctly. (Just another good reason to keep a connection to BITNET! :-) ----------------------------Original message---------------------------- Addressee: [log in to unmask] Remote system's reason for rejecting: User 'LDBASE-L-Request' Unknown Date: 13 Apr 1993 15:14:50 -0400 (EDT) From: [log in to unmask] Subject: Re: Your request to sign off the LDBASE-L list To: [log in to unmask] Organization: University of North Carolina at Asheville
