I am getting about 5/minute of these same delivery error notices from our LISTSERV. I had over 2000 this morning when I logged on. I tried telling listserv SHUTDOWN REIPL, but that did not help (thought it might be in an infinite loop or something). Is there something broke at CC.UTAH.EDU or what? I need help PLEASE because this is becoming unnerving. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Adam Floro Systems Programmer Information Technology Phone: (618) 453-6238 Southern Illinois University Fax: (618) 453-5261 Carbondale, IL 62901 E-mail: [log in to unmask] ----------------------------Original message---------------------------- Received: from SIUCVMB.BITNET by SIUCVMB.BITNET (Mailer R2.07) with BSMTP id 9495; Tue, 27 Jul 93 08:29:02 CST Date: Tue, 27 Jul 1993 08:29:02 -0600 From: BITNET list server at SIUCVMB (1.7f) <[log in to unmask]> Subject: Delivery error report from CC.UTAH.EDU To: Jacueline Nicholson <[log in to unmask]> The enclosed mail file, found in the LISTSERV reader and shown under the spoolid 3110 in the console log, has been identified as a possible delivery error notice for the following reason: mail subject indicates a delivery problem. ------------------------- Message in error (83 lines) ------------------------- Return-Path: <@VM42.CSO.UIUC.EDU:[log in to unmask]> Received: from UIUCVM42 (NJE origin SMTP@UIUCVM42) by VM42.CSO.UIUC.EDU (LMail V1.1d/1.7f) with BSMTP id 8873; Tue, 27 Jul 1993 13:28:41 +0000 Received: from cc.utah.edu by vm42.cso.uiuc.edu (IBM VM SMTP V2R2) with TCP; Tue, 27 Jul 93 13:28:35 UTC Date: Tue, 27 Jul 1993 07:26 MST From: PMDF Mail Server <[log in to unmask]> Subject: Undeliverable mail: SMTP delivery failure To: [log in to unmask] Message-id: <[log in to unmask]> X-Envelope-to: [log in to unmask] The message could not be delivered to: Addressee: [log in to unmask] Reason: Illegal host/domain name found. ---------------------------------------- Received: from cc.snow.edu by CC.UTAH.EDU with PMDF#10043; Tue, 27 Jul 1993 07:25 MST Received: from bus-tech.nov.snow.edu by CC.SNOW.EDU with SMTP; Tue, 27 Jul 1993 7:30:16 -0600 (MDT) Received: from BUS_TECH/MAIL by bus-tech.nov.snow.edu (Mercury 1.0); Tue, 27 Jul 93 7:25:35 GMT+7 Received: from vm42.cso.uiuc.edu by bus-tech.nov.snow.edu (Mercury 1.0); Tue, 27 Jul 93 7:25:06 GMT+7 Received: from VM42.CSO.UIUC.EDU by vm42.cso.uiuc.edu (IBM VM SMTP V2R2) with BSMTP id 9692; Tue, 27 Jul 93 13:23:22 UTC Received: from SIUCVMB.BITNET (NJE origin MAILER@SIUCVMB) by VM42.CSO.UIUC.EDU (LMail V1.1d/1.7f) with BSMTP id 8620; Tue, 27 Jul 1993 13:23:21 +0000 Received: from SIUCVMB.BITNET by SIUCVMB.BITNET (Mailer R2.07) with BSMTP id 9382; Tue, 27 Jul 93 08:23:22 CST Date: Tue, 27 Jul 1993 08:23:22 -0600 From: BITNET list server at SIUCVMB <[log in to unmask]> (1.7f) Subject: Output of your job "postmaster" To: [log in to unmask] Message-id: <[log in to unmask]> X-Envelope-to: [log in to unmask] (Autoforwarded message from [log in to unmask]) > With reference to your message with the subject: Unknown command - "WITH".
