My boss and I are going to meet tomorrow, I hope, to discuss this issue, but one thing I want to post here as well as in the survey is my commentary. Briefly, I can justify paying for Eric's excellent handywork, but I do have one thing to request in return for paying for previously public domain software. Well-written documentation would be nice. I understand fully that preparing professionally written documentation for listserv and all its facets is not an easy task. I also understand that professional documentation, perhaps on CD-ROM is something out of the question for a PD package. If Eric's work goes out of the public domain, I would like to see some of the funds generated from listserv, l-mail sales go toward preparing highly comprehensive docs. In fact, I would be glad to expect a delay in new software features in favor of the publication of comprehensive documentation at both the user and administrative/technical levels. That's all from me. Thanks for your time. -- My name is Stan Horwitz and my E-mail address is [log in to unmask] My opinions are all mine and do not reflect those of my employer or my cat.
