Have you tried doing a review of the list and seeing if you have a subscriber at vms.cis.pitt.edu or icarus.lis.pitt.edu? If you had such subscriber(s) you could send a message directly to them and see if one bounces and delete the bounced address. Eleftheria Maratos-Flier ----------------------------Original message---------------------------- I'm getting a bounce message saying "User unknown", however when I go to delete the subscriber, Listserv says there's no such subscriber. I've run a QUERY using wildcards to search, just in case I misspelled the address but all searches turn up negative. How can I drop this "mystery subscriber" who is apparently not subscribed? I copy the bounce notice below. ------------------------- Message in error (62 lines) ------------------------- Received: from NIHLIST by LIST.NIH.GOV (Mailer R2.10 ptf000) with BSMTP id 6890; Fri, 12 Nov 93 19:33:17 EST Received: from VM2.CIS.PITT.EDU by LIST.NIH.GOV (IBM VM SMTP V2R2) with TCP; Fri, 12 Nov 93 19:33:09 EST Received: from vms.cis.pitt.edu by vms.cis.pitt.edu (PMDF #12376) id <[log in to unmask]>; Fri, 12 Nov 1993 19:33 EST Date: Fri, 12 Nov 1993 19:33 EST From: PMDF Mail Server <[log in to unmask]> Subject: Undeliverable mail: SMTP delivery failure To: [log in to unmask], [log in to unmask] Message-id: <[log in to unmask]> X-Envelope-to: [log in to unmask] The message could not be delivered to: Addressee: [log in to unmask] Reason: <[log in to unmask]>...
