The other thing that comes to mind is, is he <really> running a Revised Listserv? Or is he maintaining a manual list (like by using the VM NAMES facility) or one of those "other" "listserv"s? This whole thing strikes me as sort of odd...here you have to be staff to own a list (at least, as far as I can tell...I don't work in Integrated Technologies). But to charge to belong to a list seems inappropriate, given the non-commercial nature of BITNET combined with the discussion we had recently about advertizing on the Internet.
