In article MSGID, "Ronald W. Ritchey" <[log in to unmask]> says: >If I add a new list to our LISTSERV, how does it get included in >LISTSERV LISTS on BITNIC? It does not. The LISTSERV db LISTS is at 18 sites, none of which is at BITNIC. If a file exists at BITNIC, it is obsolete. If your list is not confidential, then usually within 24-h after you create the lists, the LISTS db is updated. I believe the PEERS db (at all LISTSERV backbone sites) is similarly updated. Here is a current INDEX output of a S * IN PEERS WHERE LISTS Y > index Ref Nodeid Version Country Backbone Dist LISTS --- ------ ------- ------- -------- ---- ----- 009 CEARN 1.7f CH Y Y Y 010 RUTVM1 1.7f US Y Y Y 015 MARIST 1.7f US Y Y Y 016 DEARN 1.8a DE Y Y Y 017 UBVM 1.7f US Y Y Y 024 HEARN 1.8a NL Y Y Y 026 NDSUVM1 1.7f US Y Y Y 028 CUNYVM 1.7f US Y - Y 042 MAINE 1.7f US Y Y Y 074 UMRVMB 1.7f US Y Y Y 088 UCHCECVM 1.7f CL Y Y Y 103 AEARN 1.7f AT Y Y Y 124 OCC 1.7f US Y Y Y 149 SEARN 1.8a SE Y Y Y 181 AWIIMC12 1.7f AT Y Y Y 182 HARPERVM 1.7f US Y Y Y 200 CMUVM 1.7f US Y Y Y 222 ALIJKU11 1.7f AT Y Y Y /Pete ([log in to unmask]) -- co-owner LDBASE-L, TQM-L, CPARK-L, et -L -- Peter M.
