I received the following reject on a post to VM-UTIL. Who is the proper person to notify of the error? ----------------------------Original message---------------------------- Your message is being returned to you unprocessed because it seems to have been already sent to the VM-UTIL list. That is, a message with identical body (but possibly different headers) has been posted to the list recently, either by you or by someone else. If you have a good reason to resend this message to the list (for instance because half of the outbound spool files were lost in a disk crash at some intermediate node), please alter the message text in some way before resending it. Note that altering the "Subject:" line or adding blank lines at the top or bottom of the message is not sufficient; you should instead add a line at the top explaining why you are re-sending the message, for the benefit of the list membership. ------------------------- Rejected message (66 lines) ------------------------- Return-Path: <@PCCVM.ICC.PCC.EDU, @UTARLVM1.UTA.EDU:[log in to unmask]> Received: from UTARLVM1.UTA.EDU (NJE origin MAILER@UTARLVM1) by PCCVM.ICC.PCC.EDU (LMail V1.1d/1.7f) with BSMTP id 2244; Fri, 18 Feb 1994 15:03:51 -0800 Received: from UTARLVM1.UTA.EDU (NJE origin LISTSERV@UTARLVM1) by UTARLVM1.UTA.EDU (LMail V1.1d/1.7f) with BSMTP id 7077; Fri, 18 Feb 1994 16:52:55 -0600 Received: from UTARLVM1.BITNET by UTARLVM1.UTA.EDU (LISTSERV release 1.7f) with NJE id 9741 for [log in to unmask]; Fri, 18 Feb 1994 16:52:49 -0600 Return-Path: <@UTARLVM1.UTA.EDU, @UBVM.CC.BUFFALO.EDU:[log in to unmask]> Received: from UBVM.CC.BUFFALO.EDU (NJE origin MAILER@UBVM) by UTARLVM1.UTA.EDU (LMail V1.1d/1.7f) with BSMTP id 6774; Fri, 18 Feb 1994 16:49:46 -0600 Received: from UBVM.CC.BUFFALO.EDU (NJE origin LISTSERV@UBVM) by UBVM.CC.BUFFALO.EDU (LMail V1.2a/1.8a) with BSMTP id 4160; Fri, 18 Feb 1994 11:17:24 -0500 Received: from UBVM.BITNET by UBVM.CC.BUFFALO.EDU (LISTSERV release 1.8a) with NJE id 4498 for [log in to unmask]; Fri, 18 Feb 1994 11:17:22 -0500 Return-Path: <@UBVM.CC.BUFFALO.EDU,@NKI.BITNET:[log in to unmask]> Received: from NKI.BITNET (NJE origin MAILER@NKI) by UBVM.CC.BUFFALO.EDU (LMail V1.2a/1.8a) with BSMTP id 3898; Fri, 18 Feb 1994 11:15:09 -0500 Received: from NKI (NJE origin ROY@NKI) by NKI.BITNET (LMail V1.1d/1.7f) with BSMTP id 7407; Fri, 18 Feb 1994 11:15:11 -0500 X-Acknowledge-To: <ROY@NKI> Message-ID: <940218.105804.EST.ROY@NKI> Newsgroups: bit.listserv.vm-util Date: Fri, 18 Feb 1994 10:58:04 EST Reply-To: VM Utilities Discussion List <[log in to unmask]> Sender: VM Utilities Discussion List <[log in to unmask]> From: "Roy L. We are especially interested in DYNAM/B. We will be using to to replace SYNCSORT's SYBACK. We run VM/ESA 1.1.0 (370 FEATURE) and use SFS for all user files. We are interested in hearing from others who use DYNAM/B. How easy was it to install? How well does it support SFS file level backups and restores? How well does it support tape management systems? Are there any other problems we should be aware of? For all operators: What is your opnion of this product? Any comments on the other elements of CA/UNICENTER will also be welcomed. Please restrict your responses to a discussion of the programs themselves. We are well well aware of the problems with Computer Associates. Roy L.
