I very much agree with the previous posting by Mr. Chi. It doesn't seem to me that the CREN board cares at all about what bitnet sites think. I think their selling a competing product is unconscionable. Software development should be left to public enterprize. Further, why should they be showing favoritism toward particular operating systems of their own choosing? I believe that more of us are getting tired of that than they are aware of. (Though it remains to be seen if they care.) Who comprises this CREN board, and how can they act alone without adequate consultation with their user base, as it would seem they do? Can we elect them? Can we effectively question their policies and force review of them? If so, how? Where will the money from these sales go? Who is profiting from this? Is CREN a not-for-profit organization? Exactly what IS CREN, anyway, and why do we have to pay any attention to them at all?
