Actually, you did not "fail" anything. LISTSERV references generic userids that IT "knows" who to redirect to, obviously based upon your list definition headers. Thus, I as a co-owner, can be e-mailed by ldbase-l-REQUEST@LISTSERV (or @LISTSERV.NET) by those folks who don't know either our userids (or the node at which LDBASE-L is hosted). (The @listserv or @listserv.net are "real" host names and part of the Global List eXchange feature implemeted at SEARN (aka searn.sunet.se). The list-REQUEST is implemented more or less independently of GLX e.g., ldbase-l-REQUEST@ukanvm is not GLX. When using the GLX feature: it ONLY works with -REQUEST to non-confidential lists and does NOT work (by design) to OWNER-list). -- co-owner INFOSYS, TQM-L, CPARK-L, ERAPPA-L, JANITORS, LDBASE-L, et -L [log in to unmask] "The 'NET' never naps" +1 814 863 1843 31 Shields Bldg. -- Penn State Univ -- University Park, PA 16802-1202 USA
