This one has me stumped. I spent the day PUTting a series of 14 files on our list. No problem with 13 of them. However, one file keeps getting rejected, and the error message says incorrect password. I'm inserting a prewritten command line with the PUT operation in it and the password in it, so there's no chance I've typed it incorrectly. (Plus I've tried it several times.) I've tried PUTting a dummy file with the same filename and that works fine. A previous (now erased) version of the file, of approximately the same length and of exactly the same name was PUT successfully. I tried changing the password to see if that works. The new password works for all other operations, but still won't let me PUT this file. The only thing that seems possible is something weird in the file itself. I've inserted a blank line before the file, that didn't work. I got a new copy of the file from its current resting place (another machine) and that didn't work. Ideas? Thanks. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Maggi Sokolik, Editor TESL-EJ [log in to unmask] = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
