I have learned there is a good possibility of replies from people who are not real subscribers to my list; also that the redistributed mail in question is available now on a freenet. From there it could go on ad infinitum (i.e. to the point where *I* find on another service). Since, however, I receive notice of each new subscriber, I needn't "close" my list but rather signoff those that don't appear to be individuals.
