Can Eric Thomas or someone solve this puzzle for me? I submitted jobs in the identical format to two different lists. They are running different versions of Listserv (1.7 and 1.8). In one case the job worked, in the other it did not. What has changed? Is there a way to use a universal format which will work on either? I hate to keep tailoring jobs to different versions. Examples and results follow: ---------------- submitted to QueensU (1.7) //DELETE JOB PW=xxxyyy DELETE JOURNET DD=DELETES //DELETES DD * [log in to unmask] /* submitted to UBuffalo (1.8) //DELETE JOB PW=xxxyyy DELETE MIDEUR-L DD=DELETES //DELETES DD * [log in to unmask] /* --------------------------------- Results, UBuffalo: From @UBVM.CC.BUFFALO.EDU:[log in to unmask] Mon Jun 6 23:47:01 1994 Date: Mon, 6 Jun 1994 23:45:45 -0400 From: BITNET list server at UBVM (1.8a) <[log in to unmask]> Subject: Output of your job "DELETE" To: Jan George Frajkor <[log in to unmask]> Job "DELETE" started on 6 Jun 1994 23:45:42 > DELETE MIDEUR-L DD=DELETES [log in to unmask] is not subscribed to the MIDEUR-L list.
