Dear Carol (or Douglas ;-)):

I think you should possibly investigate the DNSes that control
the name/IP and IP/name lookup for TENET.EDU. There is some
evidence that things are a little screwed up:

One probe (using DiG) revealed that TENET.EDU has an A record of

tenet.edu. 66858 IN A 198.213.2.7

and a MX record of

tenet.edu. 86028 IN MX 100 Paula-Formby.tenet.edu.

which has an A record of

paula-formby.tenet.edu. 72725 IN A 198.213.2.2

Doing a reverse lookup of ..2.7

7.2.213.198.in-addr.arpa. 85821 IN PTR Kay-Abernathy.tenet.edu.

Looking up Kay-Abernathy "A" record

kay-abernathy.tenet.edu. 85722 IN A 198.213.2.7

Doing a reverse lookup of ..2.2

2.2.213.198.in-addr.arpa. 25143 IN PTR Paula-Formby.tenet.edu.

I did not check all of the authoritative NS for tenet.edu to see if they
were consistent. Also, I would check the kay-abernathy machine to see
if that has an SMTP Server started or undelivered e-mail (possibly
some SMTP clients don't handle MX?).
