[Crossposted from comp.os.linux.help,comp.mail.misc] I am a mailing list operator and frequently communicate with a mailing list by sending various files or commands directly from the command line using Smail that came with Linux Slackware 1.20. This is to a site running LISTSERV. Unfortunately, any time I mail from the command line, the file never gets acted on (I never get a reply), but if I mail from within pine, I get standard responses. I am at a loss to explain this inconsistency. I am including a copy of two mail messages. Both with identical bodies, but one created from the command line (ie: mail [log in to unmask] < filename) and the other delivered from the pine 3.89 mail program. -------------------------------------------- Return-Path: <hayden> Message-Id: <m0qFI0X-0008R9C@vorlon> Date: Sun, 19 Jun 94 03:13 CDT From: hayden (Robert A. If so, how do I add one in to Smail? Thanks for your help. NOTE: This message is being cross-posted to the lstown-l mailing list. -- ____ Robert A.
