The message you enclosed was very helpful. I think this is because the AU
and PSU  peers identify  themselves as @AMERICAN.EDU  and @PSUVM.PSU.EDU.
The  ability to  do this  is a  new feature  in 1.8a.  This can  create a
problem  when  the  peer  entry  in  the  list  is  in  the  BITNET  form
(@AUVM/@PSUVM) and  the server in question  (the one with that  entry) is
not  able to  handle peer  entries from  an equivalent  address. This  is
definitely the case with 1.7f, and not the case with the current level of
1.8a. I am not sure about the base 1.8a.
