The DICKINSN node in BITEARN was last updated in April of this year. IF they added an :INTERNET. tag (and there is one now), and when that change got installed at the AUTOCAT LISTSERV site, and when the DIGEST and/or subscribe commands were sent, and by WHOM (list owner or subscriber), then MAYBE that would explain it! It has been my experience that regular users can subscribe only under one of their _equivalent_ addresses (which ever arrives first): bitnet or internet. The list-owner can add both addresses, but when (s)he tries to delete one of them, BOTH will be removed: * "P. Weiss" <[log in to unmask]> has been added to the L-xxxxx list. No * notification has been sent. Note that the following equivalent address has * been found in the list: * * PMW1@PSUVM Pete Weiss - co-owner * * You may want to issue a QUIET DELETE command followed by a QUIET ADD of the * preferred address to avoid complaints about duplicate mail. ----------- * The following users have been removed from the L-xxxxx list: * * PMW1@PSUVM * [log in to unmask] * * No notification has been sent. -- co-owner INFOSYS, TQM-L, CPARK-L, ERAPPA-L, JANITORS, LDBASE-L, et -L [log in to unmask] "No joyriders on the Info Super Hiway!"+1 814 863 1843 31 Shields Bldg. -- Penn State Univ -- University Park, PA 16802-1202 USA
