Wayne Wayne Marr_SocSci.Com I have not had the experience where it attempts delivery LONGER THAN it said it is going to. Nevertheless, some do say they will attempt to delivery more than 7 days. They are quite annoying. Usually it is some MX host that is gatewaying the message for final delivery. (I spelled it correctly this time ;-)) On one list that I co-operate, I am a fascist list-owner when it comes to bounces: I both set the userid to NOMAIL, and try to notify a cognizant sysadmin either at the institution or knows how to contact someone there e.g., I make use of postmaster accounts, higher level domain, SOA records from the DNS, NIC WHOIS technical info, related authoritative hostmasters (usually in that order but depending upon circumstance).
