A couple of weeks ago there was some discussion about prevention of spams to lists and someone suggested that setting SEND=EDITOR and EDITOR=OWNER,(LISTNAME) would allow only subscribers to post to the list. I made this change in my header and asked a friend who was unsubscribed to try a test post. His post was rejected and he got the following message: Date: Thu, 12 Jan 1995 21:32:30 -0500 From: BITNET list server at UKCC (1.8a) <[log in to unmask]> Subject: Message ("Your mailing for HEALTHRE has been submitted to...") To: [log in to unmask] Your mailing for HEALTHRE has been submitted to the list editor: . ================================== However I haven't seen a copy of the post yet. I've gotten other posts from the list and error messages from the listserver but not the rejected message. Any ideas as to where the message went? My header is as follows: PUT HEALTHRE LIST PW=xxxxxxxx * Health Care Reform Discussion List * * REVIEW= PRIVATE SUBSCRIPTION= OPEN,CONFIRM * Notify= Yes Reply-to= List,Respect Files= Yes * Validate= Store only Stats= Normal * Local= ukcc,*.uky.edu Ack= No * FILTER=ALSO,POSTMASTER@*,POSTMSTR*@*,EMAILADMIN@* * NOTEBOOK=YES,G,WEEKLY * CONFIDENTIAL= NO * SEND=EDITOR * EDITOR=OWNER,(HEALTHRE) * * Owner= [log in to unmask] (Bob Moore) * OWNER= EMARAT@HARVARDA (Eleftheria Maratos-Flier) * OWNER= [log in to unmask] (EMF) * OWNER= [log in to unmask] (RICHARD NARAD) * * [log in to unmask] (ELEFTHERIA MARATOS-FLIER) Thanks for any info.
