Roger Burns asked: >(2) I believe that notices about "your list is being HELD" currently go >to the Errors-to address? This goes to "Errors-To=" because this error > is raised by the code that looks for mailing loops (it's the "last line > of defense", so to speak). This certainly is a reasonable approach, but I'd also find it useful to be able to send the threshold-exceeded messages somewhere else. We have *never* had a runaway loop that hit the threshold--this is a tribute to the strength of the other loop- prevention mechanisms. But just this morning I had to free one of our lists that hit the threshold of 200. I'm acting as owner and Errors-to person for several of our lists, but each list has its own editor/helper who watches over the content. That person is the one who would know whether there is really a loop or just a lot of messages. I'd like for both of us to get the notices. This is not a major problem for us. I usually check through the error messages twice a day and can send them to the appropriate person. Peace, Dan << Daniel D.
