On my CFS-L list I have Send= Editor and Editor= list-owner,(listname) so that mail from non-subscribers is sent to me. Recently I've come across some cases where a *subscriber* sends in a message but I receive it as a submission from a *non-subscriber*, and the sender appears to be the Listserv's postmaster, even though the "From:" properly points to the subscriber. Does anyone know how this can happen? I'd like to get it fixed. Below I copy the headers of the most recent case. (Note: "NIHLIST" is the BITNET alias for LIST.NIH.GOV, the node where the Listserv is based.) Thanks for any help. -- Roger Burns [log in to unmask] Received: from LIST.NIH.GOV (list.nih.gov [128.231.64.10]) by cais.cais.com (8.6.5/8.6.5) with SMTP id LAA02704 for <[log in to unmask]>; Sun, 26 Feb 1995 11:12:05 -0500 Received: from LIST.NIH.GOV by LIST.NIH.GOV (IBM VM SMTP V2R2) with BSMTP id 7121; Sun, 26 Feb 95 11:10:36 EST Received: from LIST.NIH.GOV by LIST.NIH.GOV (Mailer R2.10 ptf000) with BSMTP id 7120; Sun, 26 Feb 95 11:10:33 EST Received: from NIHLIST by LIST.NIH.GOV (Mailer R2.10 ptf000) with BSMTP id 7116; Sun, 26 Feb 95 11:09:18 EST Received: from mail02.mail.aol.com by LIST.NIH.GOV (IBM VM SMTP V2R2) with TCP; Sun, 26 Feb 95 11:09:15 EST Received: by mail02.mail.aol.com (1.37.109.11/16.2) id AA023245040; Sun, 26 Feb 1995 11:10:40 -0500 Date: Sun, 26 Feb 1995 11:10:40 -0500 From: [log in to unmask] Message-Id: <[log in to unmask]> To: [log in to unmask], [log in to unmask], [log in to unmask] (rogerburns,[log in to unmask]) Subject: more info This message was originally submitted by POSTMASTER@NIHLIST to the CFS-L list at NIHLIST.
