We're running LISTSERV for UNIX, and just learning our way around the software, so forgive me if this is something really obvious *but*... We've brought up our first active list and it's seeing quite a bit of traffic. Until today, it ran smoothly, but I've had trouble today with it seeming to freeze up. I have LISTSERV running from a window that I can monitor from, and after running for a bit, it gets into a state in which I can't control-C to get a prompt. And it doesn't seem to process any messages. If I kill and restart the processes, it works for awhile, provided that I clean out the lsv/tmp directory. I've found a directory /var/spool/listserv that has jobs in it, some of which have a ".error" suffix. What does this mean, is it related? And what's the significance of the files under lsv/tmp? Any help would be most appreciated! Thanks. =+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+= = Laura Toms * UNIX Systems Administrator and Postmaster * (614) 761-5016 = = Online Computer Library Center, Dublin, Ohio * [log in to unmask] = =+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=
