A good idea is to use "whois". If you don't have it installed on your own machine you can telnet to rs.internic.net There are ways to use this service via e-mail as well, but I don't know how it's done. There are books on how to access the whole net via e-mail. If you *can* access whois, simply ask it the name of the college. For Princeton the request would be "whois Princeton University" and it would come back with the alpha address and the IP address. ************************************************************************ C.
