18 april 1995 Ottawa Not sure what the message from the administrator of the senate smtp gateway is trying to say. What I would suspect is one of your users has forwarded theri mail to the address at the senate and this is the sort of messge the path the message took to the senate gateway may be helpful. Try working back from the Senate Gateway and look for someone at the site that sent the mail to the Senate. This is very likely where the problem is. You could try determining who the problem is by sending a message from your own user id to users you think may have forwarded theri mail. When you get the same or a similar error bingo! You found the problem and just delete them. I had a problem with a friend who gets mail through an x.40 gateway having serious gateway trouble and he was the only user on the site that sent the mail to the gateway so he got nuced and the errors went away in a day or so. I really wish people would subscribe to lists under their normal user id and not forward their mail. makes tracking down problems a real pain. Brian lingard [log in to unmask]
