If you don't have a list for list-owners to subscribe/alter themselves, and most listservs do not (and alter their subscription), with that list being the object of your original list's ERRORS-TO= and/or NOTIFY=, then yes!, you've got to do something. First, remember that ERRROR-TO=OWNERS and / NOFTIFY= OWNERS mean all non-quiet ownerS. If you replace OWNERS with OWNER, that means the first (or only) is a non-quiet owner. QUIET owners have the same privileges as non-QUIET, they just don't receive ERRORS or NOTIFYs . QUIET owners come after any OWNER that has a reserved userid of QUIET: e.g., * OWNER= userid1@node4 * OWNER= userid2@node3 * OWNER= quiet: * OWNER= userid3@node2 * OWNER= userid4@node1 or expressed another way: * OWNER= userid1@node4,userid2@node3,quiet:,userid3@node2,userid4@node1 Thus userid3 and 4 are quite. -- co-owner INFOSYS, TQM-L, CPARK-L, ERAPPA-L, JANITORS, LDBASE-L, et -L [log in to unmask] "The Internet: it's changing" +1 814 863 1843 31 Shields Bldg. -- Penn State Univ -- University Park, PA 16802-1202 USA
