I like LISTSERV, but it isn't yet perfect. :-) Here's a list of my LISTSERV wishes (in no particular order): (1) A way for LISTSERV postmasters to send email to all list owners on their own server. (2) A command to change email addresses. For example: CHANGE listname olduser@oldhost newuser@newhost Wildcards should be allowed. It would be very userful when massive changes in email addresses are made. List owners should be able to do it to their own lists and LISTSERV postmasters to any list or to all lists at once. (3) Automatic deletion of archives when they reach a specified age. (4) Activity statistics by list and filelist for a server. Disk space usage by filelist. (5) A way to permit some people to create lists without intervention by someone with root access on the LISTSERV machine. (6) Simple gopher and WWW interfaces to list archives. (7) A way to allow list owners to store files that will be accessible via anonymous FTP, gopher, and WWW, as well as by LISTSERV (assuming that the filelist for the list is accessible).
