Okay, now I have a different situation where a non-subscriber is able to post to a private list. Again, my list configuration is: Send= Editor,Hold Editor= owner Editor= (LISTNAME) A poster at address [log in to unmask] has gotten a message distributed, even though that address is not on the list. Note: > SCAN CFS-L LIBRARY Gail Persily <[log in to unmask]> Sara Weissman/Morris Cty Library <[log in to unmask]> SCAN: 2 matches. The headers of the distributed message are as follows: Received: from LIST.NIH.GOV (list.nih.gov [128.231.64.10]) by cais.cais.com (8.6.10/8.6.5) with SMTP id HAA14031 for <[log in to unmask]>; Tue, 20 Jun 1995 07:34:34 -0400 Message-Id: <[log in to unmask]> Received: from LIST.NIH.GOV by LIST.NIH.GOV (IBM VM SMTP V2R2) with BSMTP id 4667; Tue, 20 Jun 95 07:32:33 EDT Received: from NIHLIST by LIST.NIH.GOV (Mailer R2.10 ptf000) with BSMTP id 4649; Tue, 20 Jun 95 07:26:34 EDT Received: from LIST.NIH.GOV by LIST.NIH.GOV (Mailer R2.10 ptf000) with BSMTP id 4638; Tue, 20 Jun 95 07:25:55 EDT Date: Tue, 20 Jun 1995 09:45:52 +0000 Reply-To: [log in to unmask] Sender: Chronic Fatigue Syndrome discussion CFIDS/ME <[log in to unmask]> From: ODI LIBRARY <[log in to unmask]> Organization: odi Subject: Re: Admin: advice on coping with info overload To: Multiple recipients of list CFS-L <[log in to unmask]> [TEXT DELETED] So again, what might allow this? -- Roger Burns [log in to unmask]
