For almost 2 days now, whenever we attempt to start LISTSERV it die= s with an "Acess violation" error message, as indicated in LSV_OUT.LOG: =9B1]28 Feb 1996 14:38:20 LISTSERV-TCP/IP for VMS version 1.8b starting..= =2E 28 Feb 1996 14:38:20 Copyright L-Soft international 1986-1995 28 Feb 1996 14:38:38 SIGNUP files are being compressed... 28 Feb 1996 14:38:39 -> No entry removed. 28 Feb 1996 14:38:40 Nearest NJE host is LISTSERV@UNBVM1 28 Feb 1996 14:38:40 Initialization complete. %SYSTEM-F-ACCVIO, access violation, reason mask=3D00, virtual address=3D0= 0E1B820, PC =3D00126048, PS=3D0000001B Improperly handled condition, image exit forced. Signal arguments: Number =3D 00000005 Name =3D 0000000C =2E.. etc It is my understanding that after the "Initialization complete." step, LISTSERV checks the license file. Our license has an EXP=3DNEVER, so it = should never expires. Also, getting rid of it and putting in a LICENSE.MERGE fi= le, followed by another attempt at restarting LISTSERV, results in the same error, although it does log the information of the LICENSE.MERGE and creates a n= ew LICENSE.FILE. Has anyone come accross such a problem before, or have any ideas as to wh= at may be happening? Eric seems to be unavailable at the time and support at L-Soft is aware o= f the problem, but they don't have a solution as of yet, so any help that anyon= e on the list can provide will be greatly appreciated.
