I don't care if it is a personal computer one has at his home, one still should create a regular userid and use it at all times unless he has to do "rootish" things. Then and only then should he log on as root. It's only good sense. Why use a userid which can destroy your whole system with one minor error ( cd; rm -fr * ). Just my 2 cents worth. Harold
