Hi. This is my first time posting to a listserv,. My name is Lynn Schneider and I have been a medical transcriptionist for eight years. The problem of obtaining up-to-date medical terminology and pharmacology lists is certainly an isssue for blind transcriptionists to be concerned about. If you can access web pages, there is a very good web site for transcriptionists. It is www.angelfire.com. That URL, though its name is quite unusual, his a very good resource for finding the spellings of new drugs and procedures, as well as info about transcription-related equipment. Also, there is a usenet news group called usenet.sci.med.transcription. I have found this to be a very good resource, especially for those difficult questions and problems transcriptionists face. I hope this helps, and I'm so glad to see a fellow transcriptionist on this list. Lynn K. Schneider; [log in to unmask]
