On the SJUWONER list there has been a discussion on the 'precedence' header. I don't know what it means if it is set to 'bulk'. But, my understanding is that if the header is like this: precedence: junk then the receiving host will delete the message *body* if they are returning the message due to a delivery error. This is handy, since you don't need the message body when you are looking at delivery errors. In fact, if the message body happens to be a digest of an active list, it can be rather large. If you get a lot of them in one day, it is a bit of a hassle and a load on sju that it would be nice to do without. I tested this with several online services, and only Prodigy was following this rule; however, I contacted AOL and one of the managers there said that AOL is also going to follow this in the future. So I for one would like to see it done that way, and it also is the last piece that we need to take listserv and create Owner Digest lists. It would be nice if the site could set the precedence header. Eric, any way to do this? Or are we stuck with this being some fixed value? Kevin
