Susan:

The subscribers to LSTOWN-L can do nothing about your requests
(unless there are some entrepreneurial developers willing to go
head-to-head with L-Soft (and they have quite a head ;-) start).

I'm quite sure that L-Soft has heard you. We've recently heard
that they are beta testing a SEARCH feature. As you know, SEARCH
is in the LISTSERV classic (VM/CMS) version and does not
represent something entirely new, but a port of something that
has an on-going usage.

As far as a list of new requirements for pervasive
implementation, maybe a vote could be taken by L-Soft of their
paying customers, and then based upon their best judgement and
market conditions, they would enhance the product. If they
don't react to the market, the market will react to them
(as usual).

Or putting a slightly different spin on it, just because customer
X wants a feature and repeatedly asks for it, does not mean that
the features that customer Q wants are any less important, just
because they only asked for it once.
