The delete key is mighty powerful in this case of the email >in my box. If this person is not the postmaster themselves at portal.com, >I assume that their postmaster's can remove them. Correct? Nope. Completely wrong. Portal simply runs a machine which provides an anonymous remailing service, which takes incoming email, revises the headers to remove all indentifying information, and sends it on. The original sender could be _anyone_ posting from _anywhere_. Portal's postmaster is not the originator, nor can Portal's postmaster remove this person. >I know who this person is. So that may help. This message gives _absolutely_ _no_ _indication_ of who sent it. That's the whole point. If you think you know who it is, you can complain to the postmaster at _that_ person's site, but this message is not in any way evidence that this person is responsible. If _I_ were the postmaster there and you asked me to deal with this person based on that message, I'd kindly offer my regrets and decline to do so. -- Lefty [gYon-Pa] ([log in to unmask]) C:.M:.C:., D:.O:.D:.
