We occasionally, but consistently have a bounce problem when a server inserts "mail" into its portion of a domain. I am wondering why they do this and also why this individual's mail would bounce with our Listserv list (gateway problem? confirmation problem?) while his other Listserv lists are ok. Any thoughts to enlighten a newby listowner? In this instance, he has tried to post to the list and gotten this response: > S> ------- Forwarded Message Follows ------- > S> Date: Wed, 21 Aug 1996 16:31:29 +0200 > S> From: "L-Soft list server at HEARN (1.8b)" > S> <[log in to unmask]> > S> Subject: Rejected posting to [log in to unmask] > S> To: > S> "Dave Skinner, Tallahassee FL Zone 8-b" > S> <[log in to unmask]> > S> > S> You are not authorized to send mail to the ALPINE-L list from your [log in to unmask] account. You might be authorized to send to the list from another of your accounts, or perhaps when using another mail program which generates slightly different addresses, but LISTSERV has no way to associate this other account or address with yours.
