Mailing List Managers such as LISTSERV deliver e-mail.  I believe
(but can't quote RFCs) that e-mail does not usually have line-lengths
greater than 80 positions.
 
This is not a MLM issue, but an e-mail issue.
It may not even be an e-mail issue but a "messaging" issue
