Essentially, it forces the list to Obviously, I am misunderstanding this completely. It sounds as though you (and others) are actually saying that, if I use the Netscape mailer included as a feature of the Netscape for sending listowner listserv commands to the listserv (TM) running my list, I will have to confirm those listowner listserv commands, whether or not I include a password? If that's so, it's news to me. I've been using my ISP's Netscape-cum-mailer since July some time, or is it August, and the ONE problem I have EVER had is that the address of one prospective listmember I was trying to add proved too long for my margins. Other than that, I have noticed absolutely no difference in the way my listserv has treated my Netscape mailer from the way it treated my previous non-Netscape mailers. I have not had to confirm any listowner command, or supply a password where I had not previously been required to supply it. That other listservs (TM) have wanted confirmation of listserv commands for lists NOT my own I have attributed simply to the increased vigilance of listowners (i.e. they're setting the options to confirm), but you may well be right on that part of what you say. Confusedly (and undoubtedly ignorantly) yours, Mario Rups, co-listowner, ARCANA, and generally quite satisfied Netscape mailer user [log in to unmask]
