I must admit I'm confused by Wayne's suggestion below. Pegasus mail does indeed generate Resent headers, if you don't edit the message. What we need to do is forward the message, using resent headers, BUT edit the outgoing message. As far as I can tell, if I turn off the "edit" in the advanced options in Pegasus, I can't edit the outgoing message. Send= Editor, Hold is equally useless, since that means you can't edit either. Is there a trick to Pegasus I don't know? I downloaded the most recent version, and looked over the help carefully. I can't seem to get it to generate Resent headers on edited messages, though I'd be glad to find out it's possible. We edit 90% of outgoing messages, as my subscribers will not sign them or cut down the requoted material from previous messages themselves. A lot of them also use offline mailers with long line lengths that wrap weirdly and make their messages look terrible (we fix those too). On top of it, we have high volume daily, so we need a fast, fairly easy mail program (other than Ricemail) that will generate Resent headers AND allow editing on the same message. If there is a setting in Pegasus mail that I missed, I'd be glad to try it. I just ran through all the tests I could think of again on my version, and they all failed again.
