Messages on my list normally are sent with the "Reply-To" header set to the list; when recipients choose "reply", the reply is addressed to the list as a whole. Yesterday, a subscriber (only subscribers can post) sent an advertisement where "Reply-To" was the same as "From"; any replies would go directly to him My question is how did he do this and how do I prevent future occurences? Does a "Reply-To" header in the incoming message prevent listserv from sending a new "Reply-To"? Here's the header from the message in question: > Received: from gold.wvnet.edu (gold.wvnet.edu [129.71.2.26]) by ivory.lm.com (8.6.12/8.6.12) with ESMTP id IAA21491 for <[log in to unmask]>; Fri, 8 Nov 1996 08:11:30 -0500 > Message-Id: <[log in to unmask]> > Received: from gold (129.71.2.26) by gold.wvnet.edu (LSMTP for Windows NT v1.1a) with SMTP id <[log in to unmask]>; Fri, 8 Nov 1996 8:09:10 -0500 > Date: Fri, 8 Nov 1996 08:11:21 -0800 > Reply-To: [log in to unmask] > Sender: WVNET CANCER discussion list <[log in to unmask]> > From: Steve Boney <[log in to unmask]> > Subject: New Product !! > To: Multiple recipients of list CANCER-L <[log in to unmask]> Normal messages have > Reply-To: WVNET CANCER discussion list <[log in to unmask]> Barry Wolman Pittsburgh, PA
