Majordomo is a cute tinkertoy.  It scales poorly and can choke on a large
number of lists/subscribers.  It also, as written, can place a tremendous load
on system resources, esp. memory.  Also, majordomo is usually run by folks that
don't have a system set up just to handle lists.  They respond first by trying
to chuck more memory into the machine (and charge extra to pay for the new
equipment) and eventually switch to a different program.  Get worried if they
mention procmail...a system I was using switched over to that and I think a
year later they're still having problems.  I bailed.
