Some MAILERS are not sufficiently configured to recognize the pseudo userids. Also if the subscriber's e-mail system generated a "proper' bounce, and the list had been enabled for auto-delete, this would be a moot conversation ;-) Finally, one semantic point ... ONWER-listname does NOT necessarily map to the list definition operands of * OWNER= . It DOES map to the list definition keyword * ERRORS-TO=, which might not have anything to do with any owner e.g., on one of my lists it maps to a e-mail/BBS gateways where it is a private BBS viewable by whomever. To contact non-quiet owners, one uses the pseudo userid [log in to unmask] -- co-owner: INFOSYS, TQM-L, CPARK-L, ERAPPA-L, JANITORS, LDBASE-L, et -L URL:mailto:[log in to unmask] "Are you a bandwidth bandit?"
